Max Ingrand's stainless steel desk

French designer and artist Max Ingrand, in collaboration with Ben Swildens created this combination of art and functional design back in 1966 and it still looks modern today. Designed for the Peugeot headquarters on Avenue de la Grande Armée in Paris, it consists of a single continuous stainless steel form bent into a whole workstation. Three models of the desk were originally made by the Croiseau workshop in Paris for the Peugeot sales receptionists. A limited edition remake of 8 was issued by bespoke furniture creators Furdess, numbered and signed by Swildens. We love the inalterable modernity of this iconic piece, with its clean lines and sweeping curves.
