Paris is a hotbed of activity this week! The Cornette de Saint Cyr design sale coincided with the vernissage for the Art Paris Art Fair yesterday evening but we happily managed to get to both. This highly covetable pair of lacrima wall appliqués (c 1990) by André Dubreuil sold for €6,900 just nudging the bottom end of the estimate of €7,000-9,000. We viewed them pre-sale and they are stunning pieces. In blue crystal (the coupe), gold leaf and bronze they are both signed ‘Daum France’ and numbered (17/100 and 23/100). Just imagine how they would look on your wall!
