Wolfgang Tumpel, an early student at the Bauhaus in Weimar, was both a goldsmith and a silversmith as well as one of the pioneering designers in industrial production. His elegant and functional designs link the Bauhaus formal language and standardization principles with his creative vision. This set of four wall lamp appliqués (circa 1927, fabrication Bunte & Reiner), will be lot 102 in the same Artcurial sale tomorrow, carrying an estimate of €6,000-10,000.
